On November 21, 2021, the "2021 Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce EPG Charity Golf Invitational," co-hosted by EPG Industries Co., Ltd. and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, teed off in style at the Silver Wave Golf Club in Shanghai! The event aimed to raise funds through a charity golf tournament, with all proceeds going towards the "Sowers Action - Warmth for Mountain Children" initiative.
The tournament saw participation from over 60 golf enthusiasts, representing organizations such as the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, the Shanghai Hong Kong Federation, the Jiading Hong Kong Federation, the British-American Chinese Enterprises Association, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Federation, and EPG Industries. The players enjoyed friendly competition while contributing to a noble cause. At noon, Mr. Wan Renjun, Chairman of EPG Industries, Dr. Chen Jidong, Vice President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and Mr. Zhou Weixian, Vice President of the Chamber, officially kicked off the event.
As the tournament progressed, the 60 participants competed on the lush greens, exchanging skills and building camaraderie. Their involvement also helped raise awareness for charitable causes, inspiring others to give back to society.
A highlight of the event was the Charity Gala Dinner, held after the tournament. Mr. Wan Renjun, Chairman of EPG Industries, delivered a speech and presented a donation of RMB 200,000 on behalf of EPG to the "Sowers Action - Warmth for Mountain Children" initiative.
The highly anticipated auction during the dinner became the evening's focal point. All auction items, donated by participating companies, were priced in terms of winter jackets. A cliff-view suite from Naked Castle emerged as the most sought-after item, fetching bids equivalent to 100 jackets. Other items were equally popular, with bidders enthusiastically participating, raising a total of nearly 500 winter jackets.
As the evening drew to a close, the EPG Charity Golf Invitational wrapped up successfully. A total of over 4,000 winter jackets were raised, all of which will be donated to the "Sowers Action - Warmth for Mountain Children" initiative. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the participating organizations, companies, and individuals from all walks of life! We hope that more like-minded partners will join us in the future to continue spreading warmth and kindness.
