Yipuji and Rolls-Royce Power Systems jointly explore AIDC microgrid applications
08-17

On August 15, a dialogue and exchange on the technological innovation and sustainable development of AIDC was quietly launched at Yipji. Mr. Andreas Goertz, President of the Mobile Application Solutions and Sustainable Application Solutions Business Unit of Rolls-Royce (hereinafter referred to as "Rolls-Royce") Power System, Ms. Zhou Yahong, General Manager of China, Mr. Lang Yun, Sales Director of Fixed Application Solutions in China, and Mr. Fan Changlin, Sales Director of Power Generation Business in China, visited the Yipji R&D Center. Under the warm reception of Mr. Wan Renjun, Chairman of Yipji, the two sides had a friendly and in-depth exchange, sparking a spark about the energy solutions for future data centers.

As an explorer of prefabricated (modular) data center construction, Yipuji has been committed to promoting efficient, green and intelligent data center construction. Faced with the explosive growth of power demand in AIDC intelligent computing centers, how to ensure the stability, efficiency and sustainability of energy supply has become a major challenge faced by the industry. Microgrids, as an important form of distributed energy management, are the key to solving this problem.

During the talks, both parties focused on the key role played by microgrids and their future potential in the context of the rapid development of AIDC (artificial intelligence data center). As a world-renowned power solution provider, Rolls-Royce Power Systems has rich experience and technical strength in the field of microgrids and distributed energy. The two parties discussed topics such as microgrids in improving energy efficiency, enhancing grid resilience, and promoting the integration and application of renewable energy such as wind energy, solar energy, and hydrogen energy. Each topic was full of deep insights into the innovation of the AIDC energy system. It provides broad space and unlimited possibilities for cooperation between the two parties.

This visit not only deepened the understanding of each other's business areas, but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation on AIDC energy solutions in the future. Driven by the dual goals of "carbon neutrality" and "digital new infrastructure", the cooperation between Yipuji and Rolls-Royce Power Systems is not only a positive response to current challenges, but also a forward-looking layout for future opportunities. The embrace and research of cutting-edge technologies by both parties will undoubtedly inject strong impetus into the green and efficient development of AIDC, and jointly open a new chapter in data center energy management.

In the tide of change, every bit of power gathered is a valuable asset that drives the industry forward. Let us look forward to witnessing the arrival of a smarter and greener AIDC era in the near future!

Further reading: A microgrid refers to a small power generation and distribution system composed of distributed power sources, energy storage devices, energy conversion, load and control systems. It can serve as a supplement to the public power grid or independently operate an internal power distribution grid system.
